[ Cuddles are happening, Kara, it's okay. Ramse seems entirely himself, in any case. Because as a gentleman, everything is platonic until the other person makes it known otherwise. ]

Do most superheroes have powers that cancel out other powers they have? I don't remember that being in any comic books.

I mean, I'm still the only superhero I know, besides my cousin, who has basically the same powers. But there's no reason I can't have both heat vision and ice breath.

We need to find more superheroes and take a poll.

[ This close, his voice is hardly more than a rumble that she can feel in her chest. Ramse drops the lock of her hair and snuggles down closer, reaching to take her hand. ]

Maybe later. Too comfy now.

[ takes his hand and leans into him a bit ]

So, you're not just pretending to not know how you got here, right?

Heh. [ He tangles their fingers contentedly. ] I'm not that good a liar, I really have no idea. Someone will probably have to come get me in the morning if it was Atroma's teleporting trick. But don't put sneaking into your bed past me from now on.

I'm just surprised I didn't wake up until you woke me up.

[ look, she's trying to get a feel for the situation ]

It didn't seem right to go back to sleep without you knowing I was there.

[ By which he means absolutely but doesn't want to make it sound like he's an attention starved cuddle whore. ]

[ He's smiling, but is also sincere. The last thing he'd want is to be here if she was uncomfortable with it and that kind of involves asking. Consent, man. It's important. ]

It's definitely the best sleep I've had in ages.

I'm glad someone appreciates it. Alex would always get on my case when we had to share a bed because I run pretty warm.

[ He thinks she's a perfectly comfortable temperature... but the only person whose been in his bed since Celeste left is Sascha and he's room temperature at best. ]

Sure. Do you want to roll over? Dibs on big spoon.

[ she rolls over so they can spoon properly, which suits her because she's kind of wondering what her life is right now. she's not complaining. maybe she's dreaming? yeah, that's what this is. definitely a dream. facing away from him and the fact that it's dark are her saviors right now, so he can't see her flush ]

[ He scoots in behind her properly, arm still around her waist. ]

I'm comfortable.

[ Rolling has her hair falling away from her neck and it's the most natural thing in the world for Ramse to tilt his head up and kiss there, before his sleepy brain remembers that this is Kara and not Celeste and he doesn't have permission for that kind of thing. Whoops. Maybe she won't... notice... ]

[ apparently you are comfortable. she notices ]

[ He holds very still, hoping she'll relax again. ]

[ well, her heart feels like it's gonna jump out of her chest, and he's pretty close to her so it's plausible he'd notice ]

Oh...

[ she tries to relax, but mostly that manifests in some fidgeting. silence hangs, but eventually she chooses to finish her ellipses ]

...I wouldn't mind? I mean. If it was something besides habit.

...really?

[ Ramse pushes himself up on the arm between them to see if she turns her head. Because if there's anyone around he'd want to make it not-habit with, it would be Kara, but. ]

[ she rolls on her back again, and ticks points off on her fingers ]

Okay, one, I didn't kick you out when you showed up in my bed in the middle of the night. Two, after finding you in my bed in the middle of the night, I didn't kick you out and chose to spoon instead.

I'm 90% sure this is some sort of dream, which, seriously subconscious, that's just rude. Because despite how weird all of this is, I can't say I don't want you to be here.

[ Well then. Ramse blinks, trying to mesh those points with the friend!Kara he's so determinately created in his head. You usually don't want someone in your bed unless... yeah. Now he's wondering if he missed signs because of that determination to stay friendly.

Okay, Kara, don't kick him through the wall. Because he's going to kiss you now. ]

[ well... good. because she would have been disappointed if he didn't. she puts her hands on his face to savor the kiss ]

[ It's probably no surprise that he starts out chaste, reaching up to brush his fingers along her jaw as he deepens it slowly, a brush of tongue over her bottom lip preceeding a very well mannered slip into her mouth. His movements are certain but gentle, coaxing responses from her. ]

[ she rises to meet him more, one arm moving to steady herself, and moving the other to rest lightly on his neck. she certainly doesn't want to rush the moment (and isn't entirely convinced it isn't a dream still) so the impression is much more one of exploration than urgency ]

[ He knows this isn't a dream -- his dreams are never so nice. But he's content with exploration, with taking things slow and careful. It's as he would with anyone new but especially Kara. She matters too much to rush it so he lets her set the pace, his hand warm and strong as it slides back to help her hold up her head. ]

[ she's happy to kiss for awhile, but not being back to full strength here, she probably needs and wants to take a moment to breathe. when she pulls back, she's flushed and she can't stop herself from grinning a bit ]

[ Ramse reclaims his hand to trace over her bottom lip, damp and swollen from kissing. He admires the color in her cheeks and the sparkle in her eyes and thinks that he's stupidly lucky that he wound up here, that they're doing this. Maybe he should send Atroma a fruit basket. ]
